Can I ask why people do this to there cars? I understand doing body mods to win shows, building superior engines to win races, but I havent figured this one out yet.

people do it to thier cars to shine, stunt, show off..and in some cases win shows. to cruise, pick up chicks, somethin to shine up and cruise on the weeksnds or holidays. come to florida or atlanta or other southern/midwestern citys on memorial day/ 4th of july,MLK day etc.. and see em out all over the place. i mean i see em every day but they ALL come out on holidays.
you dont always have to be winning something to do it. over all i'd say its for the love/fun of customizing something and enjoying turnin heads when you drive it.
whats the point of jackin your truck up 40" on 39" tires and never get it dirty. whats the point of droppin your car to the ground with hydraulics and 13" wheels, whats the point of adding 5,000 worth of downforce to a 90 horsepower honda? because whoever did it wanted too.
like i said give it time you'll start seein cars like this in your area... its spreadin fast.. theres DVDs, magazines, die cast cars from more than one company, car shows, websites, all devoted to big cars like that.

I guess just for the hell of it. It's their hobby, so let them have at it even if it does sound crazy at times. Kinda hard to explain; just part of the car crazy community.
Some people like it. (I'll admit to it too) It's different yet kinda offensive. Makes it special in it's own way. Would I do one? Nah.
Wasn't ready for a 64 to pop out. Looks better than the 96 I had. :smokin:
News flash Jeppe, Mike lives in Atlanta, so I'm pretty sure he has seen his share everyday...

that looks cool. too bad it isn't a real lv design. but if it was the cars would probably cost twice as much for licensing issues. the dash looks very boring. the rims look nice on the car. btw nice sig. you know how big those rims are?(in the sig)

Never understood it either. Its so guady. Hopefully the trend will die soon. I would much rather look at a rusted out '64 than that.
