Alright! Modeling is the funnest (and most likely the most expensive, considering that we're making replicas of 1/24 scale cars) hobby.
But before i tell oyu everything are you planing on doing the model straight outta the box, or are you adding on body kits?(i suggest straight outta the box just so you can get a feel for it, ive made countless outta the box models).
But if youre doing just the basic stuff this is a list of what youll need:
*An exact-o knife
*model glue
*the lowest grade sand papaer you can find
*paints(usually you can just start out with a kit)
thats just some of the basic stuff(if i left anything out just write it in)
if youre planning on doing body kits you'll need some "tamiya epoxy putty".

-Paint (you need at about 10 color to start with your car (all depand of the car) ~20$-30$
-Spraycan Paint for the body ~5$
-Normal Brush (pack of 3) ~4$
-Very thin brush ~5$ each
-Thiner of the same brand of your paint ~3$ (depand of the mark, could go to 10$ for a big Tamiya 250Ml)
-Glue
-Superglue for body and thing that didn't look if you exced ~3$
-Liquid Glue ~5$
-Exact-o knife ~7$
-Sand paper (one 600grade and one 1500grade are ok to start) ~3$each
so 45$ of stuff is probably the minimum.. since I started to make model 7 mount ago, i got over 100$ of stuff, but i didn't buy anything more since.. only Spraycan color !
The Car
- Tamiya ~20-30$
- Revell ~15$-25$
- Other ~10$ to 1000$ (a 1/8 F1 ferrari hummm :D )
So it's quit expensive to start if you really want to make some good work, sure you can buy some cheap paint that come with some Kit, but the result isn't aceptable.
After this, each kit will cost you about 10$ of Paint + Car
