Reprogram Remote

I had a 98 gold 4dr Escort stolen from me in front of my house on 7/9/06. If you see on sitting any where for a long time, let me know .... any way... I have a remote left from it and would like to reprogram the remote to use on another Escort. Any one have any info on how to do this. Fred
