98' Tahoe A/C electrical problems

Hey,
My tahoe recently has been acting up. I have checked all the pressures of my A/C system, fixed all the leaks and everything is right where it should be. The problem is trying to get the compressor to turn on. For some reason my electrical system for the a/c is malfunctioning. The one correlation I have made is that when I jump out the compressor cycle switch and the lower pressure switch the compressor runs. I believe these to switches are on the same circuit. This has me wondering if it is the VCM (Vehicle Control Module). The next coincidence is before I jumped the two switches my windsheild wipers worked only some of the time. Now that I have the switches jumped I have not had a problem with the wipers. Any advice that you could give would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I am also having A/C electic problems.
It started when the air was coming out of the dash vents as it was supossed to, then it goes to the floor by it self then switched a couple more times ended up just coming out of the floor vents no matter where the dial was.
I removed the controls from the dash and the solder joints on the temp rheostat to the board were burnt.
I connected a new control unit($232.90 with tax) and left it out of the dash to see if would get hot and both the temp rheostat and vent rheostat got hot
but hotter on the vent control rheostat. So I turned it off before it got to hot
(I hope). The compresser came on but went off again, I think it may low on freon, did not want to run very long since the rheostats are getting hot. The vents worked every where except the dash.
Any one have any ideas or will have to take it to a garage$$$$.

As for the wipers.....I had intermittent wiper failure quite often and fixed it with a new wiper motor board for roughly $30 and 15 minutes. Good luck with the A/C!!

I also had the problem with the wipers, there a post on this forum how to fix the board. I did it and no problems since with the wipers, it was with four solder joints. Easy fix!

I think the problem with my A/C may be a motor on the doors for the vents, it is drawing to much power.
