The timing belt on my crx slipped and i want ot fix and sell it. The ara is a 91 crx si with stock d16 in it. I was told the valves were fucked. I found a d16 y8 head really cheap. Comes with new valves and is really clean. Would this work if my stock head is fucked. I am unfamilar with this head. I don;t know if it is vtec. If yes, what would the cheapest reliable way to install? New ECU???

The Y8 is a SOHC VTEC head from the '96-99 EX. If you get it, and decide to install it on your stock block, make sure you get the intake manifold (and all applicable sensors) with it. Ami (Ladynredsi) will be your best friend on this. You'll need a P28 ecu with a modified wiring harness, but it's more intimidating than it sounds.
It's not a difficult process... Just make sure you take your time & ask (us) as many questions as you have.
Not to mention, if you got the Y8 head & mated it to your stock block, you would be able to get that much more $$$ when you sell the car...
