'92 Distributor problems

I'm trying to pull my intake off but I cant get the distributor to pull out. I have all the mounting bolts out including the one that holds the fork on the distributor shaft.The intake is free as I can lift it up but I can only get the shaft up about a quarter of an inch. I have the number 1 piston at top dead center on the compression stroke but this sucker wont come up.Any ideas? Thanks Chevy-forever!

Just takes a little flinagling, wiggle side to side and when you least expect it it'll come out.

Thanks for the advise! I asked a neighbor and he advised me to shoot it with carberator cleaner and leave it over night and sure enough it popped right out. I've never in 30 years of working on my vehicles had this problem.Tkanks again!
