I locked my doors the other day and came back about an hour later and forgot and just tried to open the door, but the alarm didn't go off. Isn't it supposed to since when you lock your doors you set the alarm? Any suggestions? Thanks! :)

I've forgotten the technical name for this type of alarm, (intrusion perhaps?).

At any rate, it'll go off if the the following conditions are met:

1) All doors have been closed and locked.

2) The vehicle is opened with out use of the keys/or keyless entry remote.

Assuming this happens, the alarm will sound. I believe for example, if you were sitting inside of the car after all doors have been closed and locked, and the system has armed; and you open one of the doors to get out . . . the alarm will go off, and can only be stopped by pressing the button on the keyless entry remote, or by closing the doors and inserting the key into the lock to lock or unlock the doors.

I'm pretty sure this is correct.
