Im looking for a site or w/e suffices to provide me with the layout of this car. I would like to know how to disasemble dash, doors, trunk, etc... w/o having to experiment. Any help would be appreciated...
Also...I am looking for a guide to converting a 2 Door sedan into cissor doors... and converting a default opening trunk into a flip trunk.
Thank You,
Dave

Welcome to AF !
The only places I know of online for your 2000 GA, would be sites that require a subscription to the online manuals.
Best bet would be to buy a cheap Manual, and a panel Tool.
I can telll you how some of these things come apart.
The dash cluster, remove the cover on the steering collum(3 torqx T-20 screw) top and bottom halves are clam shelled around the turn signal and wiper switches.
Foam pieces are around them, I'd keep them on so stuff doesnt falll in and damage the switchs.
You can access the 2 phillips screws that hold in the bezel around the dashclusters top portion.
2 torqux screws hold in the cluster bezel, on the bottom behind the steering colum cover. Kinda hard to reach these 2.
To remove the cluster gauges, thiers 2 screws top and 2 on the bottom.
These are hard to reach also.
The radio bezel, just pops off with a panel tool or a straight slot screwdriver.
Start prying it around the sides and it'll work off. The ignition indicator pops out too.
The ETS and Hazzard wires will need unpluged, also the lighter for full removal of this bezel.
The radio and heat/Ac controls are removed with a torqux bit also.
The door panels hav three big screws(phillips screws) and some plastic pins that hold them on.
One screw is behind the red reflector on the door, pry the reflector out from the top.
One screw in the handle pull part(next to the trunk release) of the door.
To Remove the doorhandles (surround part) thiers one screw in the center . Open the handle partially to remove this part.
The triangle tweeter(speaker) on the door is held by clips, they pop of easy too.
The window/locks controls just pops out from the top(or furthest forward) held in by clips.
!! You will need to remove these to access one of the big screws that holds on the Door Panel.
After the screws are removed, use the panel Tool, and on the bottom of the door panel you will see a small opening, start prying off the panel there, and work you way forward and around the sides.
The door panel lifts out on the bottom, and push/pulls up(the black window seal on the inside might come off but goes right back on).
Caution with the driver side, it has the trunk release wires(most GAs do anyway) connected to the D panel. Unplug it and your ready to remove it.
The trunk
A few bolts on the hinge bracket arms.
Dont know of anyone or anywhere who's done any convertions on GA doors. You're pretty much on your own thier :(
I do know the wiring harness' in the doors will need extended for any Lambo or Scissor mods to work.
IF you buy a kit for the doors, for your cars make/model, it should hav directions for the install.
A GA would look nice with some Lambo style doors, but scissor ??:dunno:
Hope this helps, if you need further assistance on disassebly I can probly help you out.
Might evn hav some pics if needed. Just hollar!
