check engine light

Today my check engine light came on and i dont know how to read it. The autozone by me doesnt read them. It comes on when i first start it then after about 5 minutes it goes away. I haven't noticed a change in performance. Any thoughts would be great.

Check for an adavance autoparts, they have readers too. That said, take a paper clip to your ALDL connector. The Jumper the 2 top right hand holes. Turn the truck ignition to the run position. It will flash steady then pause then flash again for each code. So... If it flashes once,paused then flashes twice, that's 12.
