i rebuilt my motor. yes a stroker anyway i bought a stage 2 head and all that i put about 30 miles on it and it just started to sound terrible so i thought i bent a valve or something. the shop that built my motor took care of everything and found that no valves were bent but the lifters were all impacted with oil and wasnt flowing the oil through them does anyone know why this should happen and why that fast or anything to watch for. im runing stock lifter but now im going to order the 3mm so that i shouldnt have to worry any more but i had 140,000 on my last motor and that never happened

You mean collapsed lifter? Look it up.

Maybe they weren't soaked in oil before they were installed. Maybe they were old and dirty. Lifters have very small passages and tight tolerances. IDK BUT .................................................. ......

You double threaded BTW :nono:

Well if you just had the motor rebuilt when did you change the oil? What kind of filter did you use? They could have been clogged with tiny pieces of metal if you didn't change the oil soon enough or if you used a shitty oil filter.

well i used a k&n oil filter and the whole engine only had 30 miles on it so i wouldnt change the oil for at least 1000 break in miles and then every 3k.

Bad strategy. Search for my previous posts about oild changes during break-in.
