I just purchased a 87 Wrangler w/ 5 speed manual trans. After driving it all day it has become very hard to shuft into 1st gear...it takes alot of force. Shfiting into the remaining gears is also harder, but not as hard as 1st. When I put it into reverse, it automaticaly start backing-up even w/ my foot to the floor on the clutch. Why is it doing this? Once it is in gear it is drivable. My friend mentioned it might need an adjustment to the "pressure plate". If so, how do I do this? Any other ideas?
Thank you,

try to bleed your clutch slave its your only chance for a quick fix, do it like you would bleed your brakes , unfortunatly if its bad you will have to replace the clutch slave by removeing the tranny, no other way but some times you can get lucky with only bleeding it , good luck
