My car has the same exact problem. Sometimes it will work and then other times it doesn't. But, yeah the blinker blinks really fast and the tail light looks like it goes back in forth (alternates) in lights. I replaced the bulb with a brand new one. I am thinking it is either a connection problem or wireing problem. I have also heard the relays can go bad.

Go to Valvoline or whatever and have them do a flush and fill on your blinker fluid. Not having enough fluid or not changing it every 30k like you are supposed to can degrade the quality of the fluid and cause an irregular blinking. They should be able to get it fixed in like 10 minutes, that would be a good time to get the oil changed on your car and probably check the tranny fluid too.

The lights are supposed to blink faster when there is not a complete circuit (i.e. a bulb is burned out) to let the driver know they have a bulb out, i bet there is a loose wire somewhere, probably the harness that connects to the light.

DING DING DING ....... we have a winner. :smooch:
EZ said it right, incomplete circuit causes faster blinking. Are all of your blinkers blinking? On all four corners of the car?

Do you want help with your blinkers? You have to get over that stuff, it's the web. What about my question? All blinkers?

Sorry eclipsegurl, I thought you knew I was joking. Didnt mean to offend you. Do the blinker lights themselves blink rapidly or is it just the clicking noise?

I think she means the the signal on the dashboard blinks super fast and the tail lights almost alternate when it flashes on the one side. If you replaced the lights and it still does it then I would say it is the wiring or where the bulb screws into the wireing. My car still does the same thing, I am just to lazy to check the wireing. Try this... Pop the cover off the side that is doing it and put on your turn signal. Wiggle the wires and move the bulbs around. If all lights work randomly sometimes when you move it, I would say it is a wiring problem.

BTW, it might not be as bad as you think. The part that the bulb screws into could just be rusty or some crap like that. In that case just sand it down or scrape the rust out. Hope this helps.

Okay joke taken-- i just got offended cause i get enough crap out here on my streets as it is n thats why i signed up for these forums to get some help. On the dash it blinks fast n some "douche bag" (made fun of imports thats why he gets that name) last night noticed that when i had put the hazards on it was switchin bulbs on the left side...(as GSX Fan said) The right blinker works fine. When i take them out..they work fine but when i put them back in their slots they act up again so it prolly is wiring... i'll try fucking around with it some more before i go out tonight

You know whats sad, I told a kid that same thing in auto class in Junior year. He actually went to Valvoline and asked them to change his blinker fluid.

My car had some problems like that one time, it ended up being the wrong part number of bulb in some wrong places. Make sure ALL your blinker/taillight/stop/running bulbs are all the correct numbers.

Well they were all blinkin fast and then i changed them all so i dont think it could be that (n checked the number of the new bulbs with the book that they had there at the store), but thanks for the advice
