Hello all,Just a quick question about the Finishers line of paints.I recently managed to get a couple of tubs of Bright Blue which I intend to use on an upcoming kit. However when I ordered the paint I forgot to get the thinner as well. Can anyone recommend an alternate thinner.I tried Tamiya thinner and it didn't seem to work very well. The paint smells more like auto paint to me but I was of the understanding it was acrylic based??? Also is it safe to spray the Finishers paint over Tamiya Surface primers and Tamiya TS range of spray can paint without fear of an adverse reaction. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

The Finishers paint is an acrylic lacquer much like the Tamiya sprays. A good quality lacquer thinner and respirator should do the trick. Kurz

Tamiya lacquer isn't conventional acrylic lacquer, it's synthetic lacquer...however most lacquer thinners are compatible with both.
Finishers is automotive acrylic lacquer....for best results I use Gunze's Mr. Color Thinner with all lacquers.
