Still High Rpms

Thanx again giuys for the advise Re: my high rpms on start up. I changed the Idle Air Control valve. Same thing happens. Takes 3.5 minutes to drop from about 2000rpm to 1000. Is it possible that it may be one of the oxygen sensors? Help , please

I don't think you clarified if it is a 1.8 or 1.9.
If a 1.8 you can do a resistance check across the valve... supposed to be 6-14 ohms according to Haynes.
Otherwise, if you are convinced the valve is good, you should try to extract engine codes. Your PCM is next in line, I believe.

It's a 1.9 I also have a cold air intake, and one of those tornado fuel savers.
