2000 Chevy Impala Taxi

I found this at some toy store and I had to get one. I've always wanted a 1/18 taxi model ever since I was a kid. It was a bargain too, it was on sale for $10! It's from Maisto. The model was slightly damaged when bought but out of the three they had, this one was in the best shape. Only the windshield was broken off, but I quickly fixed that once I opened it at home.

Plans are to mod the car. The interior is ugly blue, so I'm gonna spray it black with some designs on it. I'll probably take off the taxi sign from the roof as well. Lower it and give it some nice chrome touches. :grinyes:

I believe some of you guys seen my modded S2000 and Nismo Z. :iceslolan

Pix are bad quality but I have no digi so it's the best I got.

you have to keep the taxi light on the back. that's what makes it a taxi!

Enough with the Jag that taxi's pretty cool I want oone now.
Like Nosliw said keep the taxi light on it won't be a taxi without it.
Wheels off a Maisto Corvette would look pretty smart under those arches!

Okay, I've done some modding to the taxi already. I'll take up nosliw4000 and keep the taxi sign on. I took it off and it looks ugly without it.

So far, I've installed racing seats and a NOS tank behind the driver seat. I converted the car from auto to manual. I also customed one headlight to see if it looks better compared to the original one. Next is the sound system details and repaint the interior to black. I'm also planning to paint the seats as well, I only fitted them to see how it looks. What do you guys think? Should I keep the original seat in or not?

Is the roof sign hollow ? , if yes you could put an LED llight in it , if no just make it hollow with a dremel!

I have halted the taxi project for now because I got a new model to play with. I bought a 1:24 scale Skyline GT-R M-Spec Nür. Currently, I'm still trying to think what color I should paint it but yeah. I'll post pix of those later on. But for now, the Taxi is at a halt.
