1998 Cadillac Deville auto levelers

I think I am having problems with the auto levelers on my DeVille. If I get four medium size passangers, it will bottom out when running over rough roads. Can anyone tell me how to confirm if the leveler is working?

Welcome to AF. Open the trunk, get 2 people to sit on the edge of the trunk opening, turn the key on see if the rear of the car levels off. Possible the system is weak and cannot compensate for a heavier load, that would require pressure testing the pump and checking the shocks for full lift function and holding pressure. Make sure bottoming out is not mistaken for the exhaust is hitting the body.
