One of my cousins has a 700R4, he mentioned it was electrical. And he's wondering if it's possible to use overdrive just by using a switch or do you need the computer to operate overdrive?

Check out some hotrod sites. Those guys use that tranny all the time and I believe that there is a kit to fake it out without needing a computer.

Thanks for the reply. And which hotrod sites would those be? Thanks.

Try this link, which gives more info on the mechanicals than electricals. I'm not totally sure it covers what it takes to get the OD to work, but that should be searchable on some of the hot rod forums, just do a few Google searches and you should be ok.
