Recalls

Watch the recalls on your vehicles. I recently took my 1996 Sebring Convert. JXI into the dealership and they told me I needed both my control arm: lower ball joints replaced, costing $600-$700. I specifically asked them if these parts are under recall. I figured since they are major suspension parts there would be a good chance. They said no.
Went online and did some research and found that these parts have been replaced twice before under recall. When I went to the dealership they contacted Chrysler and found out that it was covered under a recall. Although this saved me money, I was quite worried that if the dealership does not do their homework, how many people are getting screwed? I went to www.internetautoguide.com/auto-recalls (http://www.internetautoguide.com/auto-recalls)
