need help please

Please someone help me out replaced my coolant sensor and still displays bad coolant sensor on message board, Do I need to reprogram when i replaced this sensor.

You should not have to do anything, but i would not worry too much about it because a friend of mine has had that message on for about a year and his sensor is fine.
