Hi everyone
Here is my latest project on Fujimi F430 spider.
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a295/mikusen/Ferrari%20F430%20Spider/060607F430spider016-1.jpg
I have test-built the body and I decided to cut away the moulding of the grills on the engine cover.
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a295/mikusen/Ferrari%20F430%20Spider/060608F430spider004-1.jpg
and also the rear grill

Done !!!:iceslolan
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a295/mikusen/Ferrari%20F430%20Spider/060615037-1.jpg
The body colour is pure black by Finisher's and after applying the decals, the whole body is then sprayed with Finisher's GP2 top coat.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a295/mikusen/Ferrari%20F430%20Spider/060702021-1.jpg
After 5 days, the whole body is then prepared for sanding by #2000 grift sand paper (Tamiya) and rubbing by Finisher's compounds (Course, fine, and then micro)

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a295/mikusen/Ferrari%20F430%20Spider/060708003-1.jpg
For the engine, I added up some details by Acustion PE set for spider.

That looks AMAZING! I have a Carrera GT+pure black waiting in my bench... I just I hope get a finish like that :grinno: :grinno:
Maybe I am wrong but I thought that Finishers GP2 clear coat can't be polished? I only have a good translation of the instructions for the GP1 set but as far as I know only GP1 can be polished...
EDIT1: That's what R10 says about the clear paint:
"50: Urethane Clear GP2
Urethane Clear + hardener + urethane thinner set. Can not be polished. Over layer must be done within 24 hours otherwise it
makes crack. Mix rate is Urethane Clear GP02 : Hardener = 2 : 1"
EDIT2: I just saw that your're from HK, so maybe you can translate the finisher's instructions? Atleast the "character" and "how to use" part. That would be really great :grinno:

Thank you for you guys comment :iceslolan
Frankly, I have seen the same instruction at R10 before and I think I am lucky for no cracks formed so far since I still applying compound after GP2 coating, especiailly on those area that not looking smooth.
In my experience, I did try not rubbing with compound after applying GP2 clear coat on the bonnet of my Enzo and the finished surface looks brilliant. But what I have did that time is to spray the first GP2 coat and sanding by 2000 grift paper. Then spray the second coat in flood and allowed to dry for a day and then applying Tamiya wax.
Happy Modelling :iceslolan

Wow. Looking really good. Love the rough (red) engine, thats so tipical Ferrari, and the black paintjob is very clean. Definitly will keep an eye out for this one as I'd love to see how it turns out in the end.

Stunning paint finish... I'm tempted to try out this line of paints myself... Sadly, not many, it fact I think no one in the UK sells it...
