Confirmed Arrival Date

My local dealer has finally given me a delivery date for my Z (which I ordered 6 months ago). He called me yesterday and said that Nissan sent him a delivery notice dated for Sep. 12th.
After repeated dissapointment from production delays and half a dozed "really sorry to tell you this, but..." messages from my dealer I asked him to do something to help me believe in this newly promised date.
We agreed that I would get 1000 off if they couldn't deliver (yes in writing). So I guess it may actually happen. He even gave me the VIN for the car. SO we're looking good.
Anybody else have a date yet? Or even a Z?

I just got a date too. Mine is september 5th and its the 199th Z produced. So I can't wait and september 5th is the latest it will come he said.

So is anybody in the Forum the lucky owner of #198 or below?
Just so we can get an impression of how on the ball our respective dealers are I would like to know when you placed your order too.
Also what is your location. It always takes longer to get a car from Japan to New York than to California.
Im more excited about my new Z than I am about Burning Man (for thoes of you who know what that is)

I live in Pennsylvania, wish I was in California I'd prolly have it in like a week. I ordered mine in January so I've been waiting a while almost Z time :)

it will be out of my league so I ordered mine for a Nov delivery. Anyone know how long it takes to get from Japan to the east coast?:flash:

I placed my order in early Feb. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I haven't heard a word yet.
It seems that the anticipation is getting to most of us.

Yeah I ordered mine in May I guess and I did get the little book thing from the Nissan factory with the cards and cd and all. I assume ya'll got those too. How long after you got that did ya'll get the actually arrival date and which model did you get? I got the base, light silver, 6 speed. Just wondering.

I just called my dealer in Newark, Ca., and he assures me that the East Coast will get thier cars first.
My car should be here the end Sept., or early Oct. (he says) I preordered it in early Feb.

jesus thats a lotta z's..my neighbor ordered his in Jan and his delivery is set for Sept 3rd.
