Muffler noises

So I just took the catalytic convertor off of my S10 a week or so ago and I have my muffler making some funk ass noises, like a loose baffle or something. No exhaust leaks, so I figured the muffler is bad, but before I go spend the cash on one I wanted to see if I should try and find a heavier muffler, or a recommendation for a good muffler to keep it quieted down after taking the cat out. 2.5L 4cyl 91 S10.
Thanks!

Is it hard to say a good muffler?

If it is a hole in the pipe get a muffler shop to patch it up, I had a local shop weld my truck up, the trans support bar broke away from the pipe and it created a quater size whole and they weled in in 10 minutes, $20.00 bucks

Hope you don't have inspections where you live. They find the cat gone and they'll fail you. (You can also be fined).. Just warning you..

Not a problem, no sniffers where I come from :)

Anyway, I have read up and found the Dynomax Turbo mufflers are a good choice. Can anyone confirm that?
