is there any particular brand that you guys have had better luck with/recommend for O2 sensors on 97 gtp? the front one. thanks

AC Delco AFS109 only (front). No Bosch or any other aftermarket.

You're welcome. There are two for the '97 GTP, the AFS123 and AFS97. I recommend using the AFS123. Good luck!

I can't speak for the gtp, but I went with bosch when I did mine--way cheaper, especially when you can find them on sale. And guess who makes AC Delco oxygen sensors...

The GM OEM AC Delco 02 sensors are made by two companies. Delphi and Denso not Bosch.

On a GTP if you use a so called custom or generic Bosch 02 sensor like found at AZ the air/fuel feedback ratio is near out of spec and fuel economy goes down the drain. Plus they fail prematurely (high failure rate).

I agree with Bob, Bosch O2 sensors are garbage, stick with OEM brands.
