1990 taurus engine for sale

Hi
My son has a 1990 ford Taurus. The car was originally bought by a local school for a drivers training car. The body and frame of the car have been pretty abused, but the engine has been great!! We've never had any mechanical problems with the car, except the frame is rusting and has not cut the brake lines. We'd like to sell the car for parts, the transmission is also in good shape (as far as we know, never had any problems with it either). Anyone interested, please let me know.

12v or 24v (This is the most important part.....you might be sitting on a possible aluminum gold-mine.)

Ok, I guess I have to show my ignrance (or the fact that I'm a woman ) how do I find out if its a 24 or 12...I looked at the engine and the manual and neither said...if you could give me a clue I'll find out.

I could possibly have it pulled out and shipped if its worth it.
