well the altinator went out on my brothers 94 grand am i will probibly drive down to kalamazoo (45 minutes to a half hour drive depending on what i am driving). some time this week to change it for him. does anyone know how much of a pain it is to do or what i do have to do im sure its just a matter of unbolting it unpluging it and putting the new one in. but i just wanna make sure i wont have any suprises when i get there to do it.

Nope,simple unbolt and bolt.

you do want to take the pos. cable off first..

Which motor? The v6 cars are fairly simple, the alternator is on the top, but the quad cars its below the intake and will take a little stretching to get to all the bolts. I can do a quad alternator now in about 45 minutes, but the first one I did took about 2 hours, had to find the bolts and figure out how to wiggle it out of the engine compartment.
