feels like a turbo charged and intercooled 4 cylinder...but don't know exactly ya!

My guess would be diesel. Probably the 120d or 320d (4 cyl turbo diesels)

no its gas it has a fuel rail and injectors plus the wiring harness for the injectors plus no injector pump so its most definitly gas powered.

so where's the turbo come from... the only turbo engine from bimmer i know is the M10 and twin turbo inline 6 diesel.

turbos can be put on any eng.,this could be BMW using a turbo on their 4 cylinder but it looks like someone offering everything turbo included like their selling the whole thing.Its kinda hard to say if its BMW or someone.

Damn. Well if that's the case and it cound be pretty much any BMW 4 cyl, muchos props to the guy (or girl) that can id that engine

wow, i've finally found this engine. it is the 1.9L turbo diesel on 320d. BMWJosh...thanks for you input. I've seen some other pictures and realized: The fuel rail is the high pressure common rail design for diesel engine, and the round object next to the fuel rail is the diesel fuel pump which produces higher jet pressure than previous designs.

no prob man that fuel rail and injector wiring harness was throwing me off though lol.

I guess BMW 4-cylinder turbocharged engine wich generally have with 280 hp at 5200 rpm and a top speed of 165mph. The Turbo was BMW's first mid-engined car.
