Bose Stereo

Hello, does any one have any ideas on switching out my bose stereo in my 99 SSE?? i went to best buy and all those kind of places, and they want roughly $150 just to re-wire it so it by passes the bose system all together... does this sound right?? the reason i want them replaced, is because the pervious owner blew one of the speakers so its gets annoying when trying to listen to music. altho i dont feel like spending $300+ just for one pair of speackers to be put in, any ideas on repalcing these?:screwy:

he blew out the rear 6x9's but i just dont understand why i can't hook up some nice aftermarket speakers to replace them? Im sure there's a reason why, but I wished i could figure out why, lol , thanx again!

well if you have the BOSE the 6x9 are only used for bass. They have to be 2ohm speaker most aftermarket ones are 4 ohm. talk to richtazz he shold be able to get you some OEM speakrs for that car.
