replacing battery?

I replaced the battery in my 02 Trailblazert today and when I start it, it goes into "limp home" mode. Gives the "service engine soon" light and the "reduced engine power" light. ANyone know what might cause this? All that was done was the battery replacement. Thanks

Are you sure the battery is fully charged? Your truck needs to maintain ~14VDC at idle.

Don't know about the tb's yet, but my '99 Blazer did all sorts of weird things electroinically when the alternator went out and I had to replace it. At first, no charge. Then, I got a charge but it would only stay in four wheel low. Finally, it started working fine. I spoke to a tech and he said that the electronics can get foulded up and sometimes it just takes time for a "relearn." Maybe the same in your case?????
