What's with the heat????????

ok, here is my problem.......my car throws off a lot of heat even though the heater controls are all off. anyone got any ideas?????? would like to try and fix this problem on my own(i'm cheap) LOL

i am having the same problem with my heat. the heat is off and and turn too the blue instead the red. can anyone please tell me why would this car be doing this.
