Miss me? lol. Yeah I've been gone for a while. Some shit in my life came up that wasn't very cool. Such as my g/f for 2 1/2yrs cheating on me...So anyway on to the car...
I still have both the Spyder and the hardtop GST. Lately I've been having a problem with the hardtop. The mods are - 16g, SBR FMIC, Greddy BOV, Hallman BC @ 14psi, K&N filter, all hard IC pipes of course, ACT2100, the list goes on...
So here's the problem. My car is having mood swings. One minute it runs like a raped ape, the next it runs like it has the biggest boost leak in the world. Last night was real bad. I was going up a hill, car had NO power at all and i thought i was gonna have to coast back down it. I was in 2nd gear, doing maybe 25 trying to make it up and the car was chugging real bad as if there were a leak. THEN suddenly the car grabbed its own balls and started to haul fuckin ass like no other. WTF? :screwy: I've checked for any possible boost leaks earlier and nothing. The only thing I could find was every time I blew air into the system, there was a leaking sound coming from the throttle body. And when I open the butterfly, the sound goes away.
Anyone have any ideas?

Isn't there some sensor in the TB that causes that same problem when it goes bad?... I was thinking somebody else had the same problem last month...

yea the isc sensor does that. you can just unplug it and adjust the idle with the biss screw and that will work for a while but it will eventually need replaced but that might not be your problem but just unplug it and see.
and thanks for calling me and hanging out dude

I have a CEL for a bad ISC. OK, so the ISC is behind the TB and its brownish sensor right? Its on the back on the lower left. When I unplug it my rpms go up and down really fast. When I try to adjust it with the screw i must put it all the way close so the rpms drop to about 1k. What is the sensor on he upper left top of the TB? TPS? What if I unplug it?
Sorry for stealing the thread but I just had the same problem so I decided to post it.

you can unplug the TPS, and adjust the biss, but that never work one me, I just order my at ebay, and waiting for it to come, on the mean time, i have to drive the car around and idle at 3k :banghead: .

OK, hold on. Unplug the TPS or the ISC ? Which of the 2 sensors do I unplug?

Killer, you unplug the IAC man, not the TPS, and then you adjust idle with the BISS.

Thats consitent with a MAF halfway in the ditch or and/or intercooler pipeing being blown off. IIRC ISC deactivates above 35raw TPS value, roughly 3% TPS... The leaking from the TB could be the TB seal, tb/elbow gasket. I've been batteling the tb/elbow gasket for a couple weeks now. I'm convinced my flange is warped and needs milling. Good luck..

well another thing is when your isc goes bad most of the time it also blows that part of your computer i would also check that out just take out your ecu and pop the cover off and look for any black or burnt caps and stuff.

OK, when I disconnect the ISC the car's rpms play from high to low and cannot be adjusted by the BISS screw. When I disconnect the TPS it fixes the problem. Also they are both oily. Black and oily so I am thinking they are gone

Sensores are oily? Maybe you should invest in an oil catch can. Oil going into the intake could have been what caused the sensors to go bad in the first place.

Yeah deffinatly invest in some sort of filter. I personally, just have a long hose coming from my head to intake. In the middle of the hose I cut it and bought a fuel filter and stuck it in there. You would not believe how much oil and shit it keeps from going back into the intake. Try it and look at the filter about 3 weeks after it is on. You will appologize to your car for ever running it with out a filter lol.
