`82 380SL trunk won`t unlock!!!!

i have a `82 380 SL that i just got & have valuables in the trunk & locked it, now it won`t unlock, & 4 locksmiths could not unlock it. any ideas? the key turns, but its like its no longer hooked up.THANKS
