I've been readin posts on this web site for months and gotten plenty of help from other's questions. Everyone here seems really cool and helpfull so hopin i'll be able to get help. Well here it is.. i have a 95 cavalier with 205k miles... about 2yrs ago i replaced the altinator and about a 2 months ago i got a new battery and starter... both problems of which this website helped me solve... but lately i've been havin a very weird problem. My car doesn't seem to wanna turn over on hot dry sunny days... but when its raining i have no problem starting it up.. today for example it was nice out and when i turned the key everything lights up but nothing! but last night when it was raining it started right up. i've cleaned all the terminals and grounds and still nothing.. when i disconect the batter for like 5 min then reconect it sometimes that works... and when it actually does turn over it starts with no problem and runs with no problems... if anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appricated and the sooner the better! i have work tomorrow and i deliver pizzas.. so this is kinda a major problem for me... thanks fellas

When was the last time you changed your spark plugs? Also what about fuel filter or fuel pump? All these things have a way of making the cavs tempermental bitches.

I appreciate the advice!!! However, it sounds like I would be checking those if it was turning over, but not starting.... but then it has been over 4 yrs since my last tune up.... i'll try the spark plugs and the fuel filter cause they sound easy but i dunno about the fuel pump.. is it easier than i'm thinking?

Not too sure how much different the layout is on the 95's so all I can say is look in around the center of the rear next to the fuel tank. Little metal cylinder about 2 1/2 in diamiter connected together at both ends of it.
