Starter Replacement

So after i got the car back into road worthy condition now the starter fried tonight while we were at the movies. I looked at it and it looks like it will be a PITA to replace. Has anyone replaced one of these? BTW I have a 91 Limited with the 3800 AT. I have a Haynes and have been on the Autozone website and have a pretty good idea of how to do it but I'm looking for those oh so important tips from people that have done this before.
