okokok... Oile Pressure?

Before I say anything else... John, I had no idea what sub-forum this belongs in so I posted in the general forum.

Does anyone know what the oil pressure should be on a 1974 Mark IV 454 running 11:1~ish compression?

I am planning on hooking up the factory gauges tomorrow to see if they work, and have no idea what a normal psi should be for my setup. If anyone has anyway that I can figure it out, generically because I don't know 90% of what has been done to do it, I'd really appreciate it.

I think this would fit in problem diagnosis.. although this place does seem to fit it..

I vote we make a subforum called "Jim and problems" for whatever your needs are Jim.

LOL... that might need multiple sub-forums itself.

I think this is ok for the main forum. There is nothing wrong with the car/engine that he knows of and just wants a stat (which I unfortunetly don't have).

lots of car are different, on the funnycar we run over 85 psi, depends on the oil pump too

Yeah, should be around 8-10 psi per cylinder on a high compression motor.
