any comments from knowledgeable people out there who have an opinion on the reliability of honda's alarm system? i've got a 2001 accord coupe, V6. thinking of upgrading but would it be a waste of money?
second part to my question, same subject matter:
a recent report from the insurance institute (?) stated the the toyota camry and honda accord topped the list of the most stolen cars. are there any stats available on which generation of accords? does the addition of the chip-embedded key prevent theft more than for prior accords?
thanx

the factory alarm does a pretty job of protecting the car from theft ... but it will do NOTHING to protect the contents inside your car.

If it's a novice theif most alarms r great but, if it's a pro no car is safe. Best advice is to get any descent alarm & keep everything out of site & unless they're lookin to nab ur whole ride u'll b cool.
