I have a 96 jetta.
My fans are not coming on when the engine is hot. It doesnt need any coolant.
When I turn the AC on that doesn't even make the fans come on. Any ideas??????
It's not over heating to the point of smoking. I drove 17miles home mostly highway tonight after this started and it stayed at half way. I kept the heat on to be safe
thanks

First check to make certain the fan blades freely spin. Then turn the AC on (ignition in on position only) and check for 12 volts at the fan connection switch. If you have 12 volts (battery voltage), the fan motor is probably bad. This is just a starting point for you.
