F-bodies, Driven a Corvette?

How's the handling on a fourth gen bird (all years) compared to a corvette(C4, C5). The reason I'm asking is that I could get a great corvette, but If I bought an f-body, I'd have more 'mods' money. Be realistic, because I know my camaro doesn't handle that well and I have driven a 240sx forever.

I've driven a C6 vette. I know that doesn't help, but it was great. It was a shame that the track wasn't very long. I drove an 05 Goat too and saw one dynoed. I love the GM Autoshow in Motion, I can't wait til they come back.

Driven a 2002 Z06, but I wasn't able to really put it through the corners.
Straight line though was about equal to my old cammed LS1 set-up in my T/A.
While being quiet. Completely different feeling...same speed.

I compared the 2002 models. Im certain the vettes are way better as the years go on toward 2007.

Any idea how accurate TAWorld is??
I was told that in 1999 there were 5,010 WS.6's produced, but TAWorld is saying 4,822. Not a big difference, just wondering which is right.

Really I dont know, but I would imagine they got info from a book or some online source. You would think if they was wrong they would have already been b!tch slapped about it. Perhaps some particular edition of firebird (like daytona or such) wasnt considered by them or the info they have, but still contained the same build sheet data of a WS6.
I see yours is #1747. I would guess that if you could find a #4822 to #5010 somwhere around, then that would pretty much prove if the info they have is right. Im guessing that you have researched it, and since you have one and they may not, you very well could be right. If you find out somthing they dont know, tell them about it. Last thing we need around is another Pontiac web site thats inaccurate. BTW nice car if i havent already said that. Ive been looking for a good deal on a 99'-02'. Hard to find them in my price range that havent been torn up by some jerk.

Alright, wanna make sure I'm right here. The V6 F-bodies handle almost as well as a Vette right? I also read that my Iroc has the turning ratio of 12:4:1.
Mr. Luos

No way.
Turning ratio has little do to with handling, that is just how easy it is to flip a bitch on a street.

So what information am I looking for that compares the handling?

Did I misread something or did those links not test handling at all?
Also, I have owned C4 Vette's and as you all know now own a 4th Gen F-body and I have given this opinion before which many F-body owners did not like but I swear to god its the truth of the 3 C4's I had daily driven. They would blow a 4th gen away on a windy road. The F-bodys to me was designed to be a muscle car and thats the feel they have to me. They are the almighty straight line monster's but the Corvette is a sports car. It is meant to handle the windies but I think even though others have disagreed that IRS (at least in stock form) is a preferred handling wise set up to SRA.

Nah you didnt misread anything, they didnt exactly come out and say how they handled, but you can tell by the information in each one what they will do. For instance, if I was to put up a link of the stats of a 1984 Oldsmobile Delta 88, and compared them to the stats of a 2006 Z06 Corvette, you would easily be able to tell by the information wich one is superior in every aspect. Without even knowing the exact models being compared, you still would be able to tell wich one was meant to sport, and wich one was meant to get groceries.
The only vette ive ever driven was a beat to death mid 70's model with a mild 350, wich i was putting a tune up in. It drove very well and seemed to handle good, (not that i was really putting the pedal to the wood) but the suspension was so solid it was like driving a tank or log wagon. I dont think my lower back could take driving one all the time down Oklahoma roads. Our roads really suck here. It might have been the particular car i was in but still, the suspension had about as much flex as a shopping cart. The owner said the tires would only move up and down about an inch or so, wich made me think, have fun on bumpy corners.

I shouldn't beat a dead horse, I know you guys hate hearing about this but I'm not trying to fight with you. I just want to get to the bottom of things.

mmm i think the turning radius = how nimble/agile a car is.. and skidpad is how fast it can corner..
