i blended in this drivers side bar to the body like they have them now

I updated the roll bars using .080" tubing to replace the kits roll bars

One thing that I would have done was gotten rid of the oil coolers on the pass floor.... they dont run them like that... But it is still great work... you have really gotten very good at these!!!!

Yeah I got a few ideas from some of your builds! :sunglasse and i found some cool pics of bare chassis' on the net to

roll cages are fun to make, I noticed about the oil lines there, but to much fussy work to get em off lol maybe stick a kool box over top to hide them...

They would be quite hard to remove fully i feel. How would you get it to look right? Grind them down then sand like mad to get it all smooth and flat again?

i would just use one of the pointy dremel grinding cones, and grind it down so you have a cavity, then fill and sand..

but like i said you could stick a kool box on top if you wanted

got a bit done today,

made some roll bar padding and zip ties, ran a few wires, and made the mounting plate for the ignition boxes.

another small update, I added the two fire bottles and lines, one for the fuel cell (trunk area) and one for the driver compartment.

the interior is fantastic. thats a lot of work cleaning up these parts and redoing the rollbars but you make it look so easy and actually, enjoyable. the wires and extras really brings out the life of this model.

got some work done on the seat and dash, and helmet
flocked the seat, made some seatbelts & added some sponsor logos around it

thats a box stock seat. but you could add leg supports but i was to lazy .. lol

got some more done.
made up some msd boxes and coils, added a few more wires, and stuck the seat in.

small progress, i got the body work done and sprayed on some primer.
next i'll spray on a base coat of white to make the red more bright

very nice work and not only that but u also pay attention to all the small details. This one makes me want to go get a dale jr car and build it, and did i happen to mention im a big Dale jr. fan myself!

did a bit on the rims today.

Im using wheels and tires from the older revell kits as they are much better looking and fit better!

im just waiting on the new style "goodyear" decals from JWBTM to come in the mail, they should be here in a few days and then i can finish detailing the tires!

well the body is pretty much done, only needing to add jack posts.,
I did my normal weathering to it, this is how i like them!

now just waiting on the mail man to bring me my tire decals! and this will be finished!

awesome. Are those gloves resin pieces?

for the gloves i modified the "hands" of the driver figure that comes in the kit and modified them using some tamiya putty

wow, this is amazing. seeing this kit come so alive is a real treat. the gloves and helmet are an excellent touch.

WOw this is coming together quickly. Looks great, love the little details, the gloves and helmet are awesome. Great work on the declas, they look impeccable as usual.
