97 Electrical Gremlin?

I have a 97 Taurus 3 liter, 138000 miles. When I shift out of park or neutral, I lose the power steering and power windows. When back in park or neutral, the steering and windows work fine. Any ideas? I checked the fuses and they seem fine. Thanks in advance

I do not remember all of the symptoms, nor do I have my schematic with me, but I always start off by associating transmission/electrical problems with the Transmission Range Switch.

TomV is correct on this. The TR sensor, also is called many other names, is most likely the problem. It is a fairly cheap part and is simple to change.
