Try a filter first, if no change check the pressure.

OK, Filter changed, and I believe it was an original part (156K). Nice prior maintenance, huh? Still got some sputtering on a few Right turns....only after being out on the road for a while this afternoon...I'm lost on this one.....got a check eng light on it, and it was a code 63, O2 sensor....I know my driver's side exhaust manifold is leaking, trying to fix that in the AM....Any other ideas? anyone? I just don't get it, it sputters/wants to stall on Right turns, and the only code it ran was the O2 sensor, which I think is prob b/c of the exhaust leak. Please help.
Thanks,
Tim

fix the leak and reset the computer, if it comes on again again check the code. You might need a new o2 sencer.

Could that sensor be causing the sputtering/stall?

who knows..but it might..and if that doesnt work, you sure you got enough gas in that thing? 'only right turns..' thats weird as hell.. not at all on left turns? even a sharp left?

Yup, def got gas in it.

Maybe the o2 sensor wire is too close to the exhaust and the casing is burned through and gounding out on the pipe during the turn, very common.

That's a great call, i didn't see anything like that when I was under there yesterday, but i'll double check that as soon as i get a chance...thanks. that's some useful insight, hadn't thought of that one.

yeah, seen em burned on the collector pipe and/or manifold, through the wire or the connector meted, and on a rare occasion, pinched in the steering shaft.

ok, I THINK, I may have found it, but only time will tell:
The O2 sensor wire seems fine, but, I bought the car w/ the batt in the trunk, and I found a loose, arching ground wire inside the fender behind the batt....thinking that this is prob the cause, loosing connection there on turns w/ the batt shifting a lil....only time will tell i guess....
thanks for the input guys...

Hey all...Think I MIGHT have gotten this crap figured out after weeks of troubleshooting...It wasn't the fuel pump, and prob not even the O2's...The prior owner had relocated the battery to the trunk, and done a half-assed ghetto rigg on the install....Bungee cord holding batt in, posi wire to starter was, get this, the stock wire routed towards back of car from the starter, over tranny, then spliced, w/ the batt terminal still on it, to another wire to reach trunk. This new wire was literally zip-tied to the fuel lines, sitting on top of tranny and rear diff, and the neg ground against the rear fender was loosely bolted w/ a piece of ikea hardware (where the stalling was from on right turns, get it?). I had already fixed 3 different shorts on this wiring before yanking it all out and discovering how bad it really was.....saw 4-5 more weak/worn areas on wire....This car has been an electrical nightmare, and I've had to rewire everything but the dash/driving lights so far, but I think I got it now....Time will tell over days to a week if the shorts caused the car to need a jumpstart periodically, but I can already see a 75% cut in the cranking time of starter motor to fire her up. I think, and hope, I finally got it all straighted out...Never buying a car from someone who doesn't know about cars again, what a mess.

same. the guy who i bought my car from seemed to like changing stereo systems.. he rips out the 6 speakers, cuts the wires and leaves it stripped to arc on the body of the car.. then he goes and cuts the whole @#$#@ harness and then ELECTRICAL TAPES It together. not even wraps, he just sort of folds the tape over to hold it together. jeez.
