Newbie here to the BMW world. The wife and I are getting a gently used 1999 740il...
Are any of you aware of problems that were common on this car? I have combed all over the 'net and found nothing. Is this car so reliable that no problems have been reported? Thanks for the candid feedback.

My mom had a 740iL for a couple years and didn't have one problem. She just got rid of it a couple monthes ago because she likes SUVs so she bought the bmw X5

I own one of those 1999 BMW 740iL. I only had a little problem with the fuel pump, and had it fixed right away. Besides that, it runs like a charm

Would you like a new set of rims? I have the honeycomb ones that will fit your car. You can use them as snowtires. :alien:
