I thought I'd replace my headlight today but found the new bulb didn't help. How do I go about troubleshooting the problem and what would most likely be the culprit?

hi there
just use a test light to test all your fuses if all your fuses are good then its you head light bulbs.that are faulty.
hope it helps you

Check your fuses first, then get back to us.

I put in a brand new bulb and it doesn't work. The weird thing is the high beams do work but without the high beams its dead. I'll try to look at the fuses tomorrow although if a fuse was blown I wouldn't think it would work at all. I assume the fuses for the headlights are under the dash?

That would be correct and there are seperate fuses for low beams and high beams.

Its helpful to have the haynes manual. After looking through the schematic I noticed the fuse was simply missing. I was too busy looking for one that was burned out not realizing the possiblity that the previous owner had removed it for some reason. Thanks for the help.
