Question about belt

i got a 96 cavaliar 2.2 with ac and i was thinking about getting the belt for non ac 2.2s is this a good idea and will i see any change in power?

The only difference would be the normal power you have when you're not running the A/C or defrosters becuase you bypass the A/C compressor with the shorter belt. The compressor runs when the defrosters are on to remove moisture from inside the cabin. If you do go with the shorter belt, remove the A/C relay from the fuse box to stop power from going to the compressor connector/motor.
No power increase at all, as the compressor pulley free wheels when it's not engaged.

i had to special order a belt when my compressor messed up and i took it off, and 0 gain in power
