Front valve cover gasket

Hi, I have a 97 GP GT w/113,000 and wondering if anybody has a write-up/link on how to replace the front valve cover gasket, what type of gasket, and from running a search I only learned that the gasket goes in dry with no sealant. Am I correct? Thanks for any data....

That is correct. I just did mine a month ago. The new gasket fits in a groove in the cover and goes on dry. Not a big deal to change them out. I did mine during the procedure to replace the intake gaskets so I had everything apart at one time. It's pretty easy.
