Hey everybody, I'm celebrating the first successful engine pull I've ever done! Here's pix. I only had one snag and that was the shifter wanted to come along for the ride but everything else was smooth.

And check this out... I found it half-way in the wooded lot beside our house, I thought it had been thrown away or stolen!

does that bumper fit your sedan? or is it from a CRX or hatch? Looks like the old bumper on my 90 Si hatch...

yeah, that's my old bumper, just some repair to the metal strip under it and replace my bumper support and I'll be ready to put it back on.

Nice work, I just need to figure out how to get those darn axles out and mine will just pop right out. Any Suggestions, Tips? I will get some pics as soon as i get my film developed.

here's what I did to get my axle's out. Under the bottom of the axle behind the rotor you'll see a crown nut with a cotter pin in it, pull the pin out (unless you have a replacement keep it in good shape, I have a box of them :p ) the bolt is a 17mm. I used my large screw driver to pop the axle up, it will probably be stubborned, both of mine were. Once I got it out I simply pulled it out. it was the case on both sides that I had to pry the end in the tranny out but it wasn't too much trouble.

now that I've said that I should mention that this is the first time I've done this and I had no manual to help me out.

I didn't even have to take the whole CV's out and I dropped my engine to the ground, jacked the body up with a cadillac bumper jack and pulled the engine/tranny out from under it with a truck.

Ok sounds good, ya this is my first Honda swap, I have a 66 chevy II nova i completly redid, went through 3 motors, kept blowing them up...oops. I will let ya know tommorrow How things go. I have a cherry picker so it should be pretty easy to get it out. Thanks for the tips.

I'd like to find a cherry picker, I have an idea on how to use one in my situation but it would require me dropping my engine in, move the car back then hooking up the axles. Of course I guess that wouldn't be too bad... damn I think I just came up with the ultimate solution LOL
