I have a 2000 Cherokee Limited. The controls for all of the power windows on the drivers arm rest work all of the times. However from time to time the controls on the passenger side and both rear doors will not operate the windows, however they remain operable from the drivers side. Is it possible to just remove the arm rest on the drivers side to get to this unit, or does the entire inner door panel need to be removed. I'm thinking the lock switch for the windows may be flakely. If anyone has any ideas or know of the procedure to get to this switch please let me know the manual doesn't seem to be very clear on this issue.
Thanks

There are previous thread about this, the problem is that the child lock out switch is bad in the unit. I did a bypass in the harness to eliminate its function and so the other door switch will work. You can download a 2000 XJ factory service maunal for more information. Search this site for both of the above.
I did my harness jump in the LH kick panel (after having both door panels off numerous times). You can buy a new switch also if you wanna spend $$$$$.
