GAHHH!!
I posted back before about how when I installed the ported TB that it makes a whistling sound, like somethings leaking or something. I redid everything today, and it still does it. I can't find it. I had someone feeling around the TB while I revved to the right rpm to get the sound. I can't hear it while Im under the hood. They could not find a leak anywhere. I tried soapy water in a sprayer. It didn't work. Think about it. At the TB, the air is usually going in, not out. So the water would only get sucked in if there was a leak. Water just dripped tho.
Gasket is in perfect condition. I could not find a torque spec for the 420a, so I did like 20lbs or so. I don't get it. Gasket was port-matched again also, just to make sure the air wasn't like whipping off the edges. Super smooth now. IDK. Still sounds like I got a turbo under the hood.

Hook up a boost leak tester to the TB, pressurize it, then spray the soapy water on there.

Didn't you have the little "whistle" sound before when you had the stock TB? I have it from about 3.5k all the way to redline, I always just thought it was my CAI swirling the air around. I also did not plug one of the breather holes on my CAI, it was just around the first bend in the pipe and I figured since I don't have the bypass valve to leave that hole open so if water did get sucked up it would maybe go out that hole instead of up the pipe, so I never plugged it. My sound might be coming from that also, but I don't think your pipe has that so I don't know what to suggest.

When Im cruising in my car and turn the radio off......I can hear a constant psshhh sound. I think it's just from the high flow k&n filter.

I've never had it before with the stock TB. Never heard a sound. My CAI (short ram) is solid. There is no holes or leaks anywhere. I got a filter on the breather lower down and then the hose is connected on the upper part to the valve cover. It was like that before too and no problems.
I'm going to try to take a video tonight or something to try to see if I can capture the audio. I guess it makes me feel alittle better that other people have the same issue. It's just weird because I never had it before the bored TB got put on.

Cincinnati (see I can do it too ;) )
Say David, when I am looking for vacuum leaks, I use carb cleaner or WD-40. You will hear a change in the idle, if you find the leak. Maybe you are just sucking in a lot more air than you were before.

Ok, so it starts whistling after it gets to 12% (SAFC reading). It starts there and then get louder and more noticable then. No video right now. Maybe tomorrow evening Ill take it.
