'95 clicking noise from alternator?

got my 2wd 4 door '95 blazer (70,000 miles) stuck in the mud so bad i had to rent a backhoe to pull it out. it only sunk to the rear axle, the dif was sitting on the ground not buried thank god. the front tires didnt sink. after i pulls it out i notice a clicking noise from my engine. pop the hood and notice that it seems to be coming from the alternator area, although my alternator should still be fine cause iv started it several times since it got stuck. its a rapid clicking noise. when i am cruising at a constant speed it hesitates very slightly. when i accelerate it sometimes hesitates slightly. when im sitting idle it seems to have a hard time staying constant, but it doesnt die, just fluctuates a little. this blazer ran flawlessly previous to the mud incident. did i break something from slimply reving it trying to get out before i rented the backhoe?

nvm it was a detached spark plug wire. i checked the plug where i thought the noise was comming from before, but i was a diferent one. i guess it just popped off when i was bouncing around.
