Does This Estimate Sound Right To You?

I took my truck in for the safety inspection, and got a very unpleasant surprise.. It seems that a lot of the front end is no good. The garage I got the inspection done claims the following needs to be replaced:

Idler Arm
Pitman Arm
D/S Rear Wheel Cylinder
P/S Inner Tierod End
Brake Flex Hoses (front)
E-Brake Cables

They quoted me at $2k Cdn parts and labour. Does this sound accurate or should I be taking my business elsewhere? I just sometimes get the "no" feeling when dealing with these guys...

Bring the truck down to Lake George NY, I will do the job for 1k American, something is wrong here!!!

I'm no expert but that sounds a little steep. It's a little weird that _all_ the parking brake cables are bad... I know a friend of mine who used to work for an unnamed canadian chain would give out quotes like this when they just didn't want to do the work to scare the customer away!

I'd get a second opinion...

ALLWAYS get a second opinion especially when the price is that steep.:screwy:
