The Anti-Ferrari

I guess this belongs in Racing Stories. Anyways, when I was on my way out to the burbs last night, I see this car weaving through traffic behind me. When it catches up at a light, I see its an older Ferrari. Like maybe a 94ish 512. So the guy looks over at my car for a sec and says somethin to his girlfried. I assume it had something to do with how fast I must think my honda accord is since its lowered w/ rims etc:rolleyes: I'm fine with this assumption since I'm assuming it will result inhim putting on a lil speed show for me.

Once we're in front of the pack, I hear him drop a gear and stab the throttle for about 4 secs:eek: The sound was beautiful, but something was wrong... He was only like a car and a half in front of me. Its not like I tried to race or keep up with him, I kept my same pace. So maybe he was tryna get me to run with him and get embarassed? He waits a lil bit then stabs it again for longer this time. He accelerated away but seemingly not much faster than I would pull away from people. Eventually his speed of travel carried him away from me.

So I don't know what the deal was with this guy. Was his car shot? It sounded fine to me (with my extensive experience with ferraris:rolleyes: ) But he showed no signs that there were 400 horses under the hood. Normally I would say bad driver but my grandma could pull that thing away from my accord with ease. So confusing. And more importantly, I was robbed of the speed show I was supposed to get :mad:

Just when you want a quality ass whooping to see how fast the car really is... damn. Maybe he thinks that if you pay 200K for a car you never have to change the oil.

Sure it wasn't a replica, or maybe he decided to go for an engine swap given the price hike on petrol lol.

Probably turned to the chick and said look baby the new Vtec engine out of our old civic sure goes well on fuel.

You sure he was really giving it the beans?

Those v-12s are really loud even under light use.

I kinda hope he wasn't cuz I'd hate to see a ferrari in that bad of shape. But from what I remember from that night, the rate the revs seemed to be climbing didn't match the acceleration. Unless he had the world's shortest gears, something was off. And if he did have shorter gears, then why didn't he shoot away from me like a rocket on wheels?

maybe his penis was too small for him to go WOT. It is a ferrari ya know :)
